Furniture removals between South African cities

Furniture removal on this site means the goods leave one city for another. The usual corridors are Johannesburg–Cape Town on the N1, Johannesburg–Durban on the N3, and the shorter Johannesburg–Pretoria run. Lekker Moves does not drive those routes and does not publish a timetable.

Name both suburbs, not only the two cities. A collection from a Sandton basement and a delivery to a Sea Point lift are two access problems plus a long road leg. The mover has to price all three.

If the destination is not ready, ask the mover what they do. Lekker Moves does not store furniture. Insurance, if any, is the mover's cover. Ask what is excluded before you hire them.

What to put in the request

  • Collection suburb and delivery suburb
  • Whether either building needs a lift booking or a shuttle truck
  • Date you hope to be out, stated as a hope and not a booking
  • Items that cannot be tipped, and anything you will pack yourself

Questions

Does Lekker Moves move the goods in both ends of the trip?

No. Lekker Moves is a lead generator for The Lekker Network. The request is shown to movers who cover both ends of the trip and have opted in. The mover you hire does the work, quotes the price, and is responsible for the goods.

Do you publish a price for the move?

No. Lekker Moves does not publish a rate card. Distance, stairs, lift bookings, parking, packing, and the date all change the quote. Ask the mover what is included. Requesting the match is free, and you pay a mover only if you hire them.

How many days does Cape Town to Johannesburg take?

This website does not state a transit time. Ask the mover which day they expect to leave and which day they expect to arrive, and treat that as their plan.
