Lekker Moves helps people in South Africa request a house move, a flat move, an office move, or a furniture removal. You describe the job and the area. Instant Match on The Lekker Network notifies movers who cover that area and have opted in. Lekker Moves is not a removal company. We do not own trucks, we do not load furniture, and we do not store goods.

Requesting a match is free. You pay a mover only if you hire them. A request can receive a reply, and it can also receive none. We do not promise how quickly someone will answer, that a crew is free on your date, or that a particular suburb has coverage today. Coverage is whoever has joined the network for that service area.

A useful brief is specific. Say whether it is a house, a flat, a room, or an office. Say the suburb you are leaving and the suburb you are going to. Say the floor, whether there is a lift, whether the body corporate must book the lift, and where a truck can stop. Mention stairs, a long carry, a steep driveway, or a security estate with its own delivery rules. List heavy or awkward items such as a piano, a safe, a fridge, or gym equipment. Say if you want packing, or if you will pack yourself. Those facts are what a mover uses to decide whether to reply.

Local moves and furniture removals are different jobs. A local move stays in one city, for example inside Johannesburg or inside Cape Town. A furniture removal between Johannesburg and Pretoria is short, but it still leaves the city and should be described that way. A furniture removal between Johannesburg and Cape Town, or between Durban and Johannesburg, is a long-distance road move. Transit time is the mover's plan. This website does not publish a timetable.

Johannesburg moves are often between sectional-title buildings in Sandton, Rosebank, Fourways, Randburg, and the CBD, as well as houses in Roodepoort and Soweto. The building, not Lekker Moves, controls lift bookings and loading bays. Pretoria, in the City of Tshwane, includes Centurion, Hatfield, Brooklyn, and Menlyn on our location list. Student moves around Hatfield are usually smaller. Estates set their own hours.

Cape Town moves have to account for hills and narrow streets in parts of the City Bowl and the Atlantic Seaboard. That does not mean every street is difficult. It means you should say if the truck cannot reach the door. Stellenbosch and Paarl are separate municipalities from the City of Cape Town. Durban means eThekwini, including Umhlanga, the Berea, Westville, and Pinetown. Pietermaritzburg is a different municipality. Coastal humidity is a reason to ask how upholstered furniture will be wrapped. We do not supply the wrapping.

We do not publish prices. A move costs what the mover quotes after they understand volume, distance, access, packing, and the date. Two flats with the same number of bedrooms can be different jobs. Lekker Moves will not invent a starting price or a call-out fee. Ask each mover what is included, what is extra, and what happens if the destination is not ready.

Insurance and liability sit with the mover you hire. Ask them what cover they have and what is excluded. Lekker Moves does not insure your furniture in transit and does not guarantee the condition of goods on arrival. If you need storage between two dates, ask the mover. We do not run a warehouse.

Office moves need a list of desks, screens, and anything you cannot tip, plus the building's after-hours rules. You arrange access with the building. We do not send a project manager. Packing can be included or left to you, but only if you and the mover agree. Do not assume boxes, blankets, or disassembly are included.

When you submit the form, the request goes to Instant Match. Phone and email stay private unless you later choose to share them. Movers who are notified can see the brief and the area.
